Produced by Shree Venkatesh Films, a much awaited musical journey ‘Arshinagar’ directed by Aparna Sen finally presented the public with its music launch. Based on the world famous novel “Romeo & Juliet” by Shakespeare, this movie will take the viewers to a journey of love this Christmas season.
The event started with the musical performance of the heart touching songs by the band of musicians in the movie. The songs included Arshinagar Title Track, Kaala Paisa Wala, Maula Mere Maula, other songs were kept unrevealed. Each song has a taste of its own which soothes your heart and takes you to its own world. The use of instruments like Dotara, Ektara, Khamak, Bangladhol, Khanira , makes the music of Arshinagar exclusive from others.
Aparna sen, said Arshinagar has no geographical existence. Its her imagination which we will be screened. She picked up various venues to provide public with an extravaganza journey. She did the casting on the basis of Dev having a romantic image and Rittika for she had the perfect look for being the Juliet. Rittika, said the journey of Arshinagar was a tough one as working with Aparna Sen was a challenge. She also added, To be a part of a team which had everyone as her senior made me do home works to come up with their level and confidence. To work with her co-actor Dev was a rich experience. To this Dev the Romantic Hero, also added, Arshinagar was the most difficult adoring journey of his life. He felt besieged to be a part of this movie based on Romeo & Juliet.
